Yes, iSocket sends alerts about both power failure and power restore, to up to 10 numbers.
It will text to up to 10 numbers. We use a top quality li-ion battery that is sufficient to power a mobile module and send a power cut alert to several numbers, even after a break in the mobile network. We avoid using super-capacitors (as cheaper products do), because these are not reliable enough for the above process.

iSocket will send a power failure message immediately after it detects that supply to it has been lost. There could be some latency due to capacitors, etc, but in most cases power outages longer than 1 second will be reported. Professional iSocket® Smart Software is designed to send both power failure and power restore messages no matter what the delay was between these two events. It means that even if power has been restored in the same second that it failed and the unit had not even shut down yet, you will receive both messages. This helps to understand that there has been a short power failure, but now there is power in your network again.
Todas sus configuraciones personales permanecen en el dispositivo tras un corte de suministro. No necesita hacer nada especial para guardar sus ajustes después de un corte. El comando POWERSTATE está diseñado sólo para gestionar el estado del relé tras un corte de suministro. Por favor lea el Manual de usuario del aparato para entender como funciona. Este comando no interacciona con ningún otro ajuste. Otros ajustes, como la lista de números de teléfono, contraseña, configuración del termostato y demás, también se guardan tras un corte de electricidad. No están afectados por la electricidad y no necesitan la batería apara guardarse porque se almacenan en una memoria no volátil. La fecha y la hora, sin embargo, si están afectadas por un corte. Esta opción aún no está ultimada pero hay otra alternativa disponible para usuarios de smartphones. Compruebe la aplicación "FireAlert 2" (para Android) o pruebe a buscar una similar para iPhone. Puede configurar su smartphone para que suene una alarma y haga otras funciones cuando recibe un mensaje con un texto determinado (por ej. el mensaje de fallo en la red) del iSocket.
Le recomendamos usar el llamado factor secundario: imagine que quiere controlar el funcionamiento de una bomba de agua y ser avisado cuando pare o falle. En este caso puede instalar un sensor de presión en la línea hacia la que la bomba impulsa el líquido y conectar este sensor al iSocket. Cuando la bomba pare de trabajar el sensor de presión se activará.
Please check the following:

1) Make sure that the unit has been plugged to a wall socket for at least 15 hours to charge the battery inside.

2) Make sure a number is installed for the alert. Depending on the product, you may check this with the command ALERTNUMBER? or ALERTNUMBERS. If a number is not installed, depending on the model you can install it either by the command ALERTME or ALERTNUMBER+yournumber. See user manual for your product to find the correct commands.

3) Make sure that the number is in the international format (means that is starts from, for example, “1” for USA or “44” for the UK).

4) Make sure that the unit is logged on to the mobile network, for example, you can execute any other commands and receive responses. Try the command “ON” and see if you receive a response.

5) When all the above have been checked, try the following test: Remove the unit from the wall socket and check what happens with the blue and green indicators. The blue indicator should continue blinking and the green indicator should continue to be lit for the next 5-10 seconds before it goes out. This test shows that the battery is charged. If the indicators go out immediately when you remove the unit from the wall socket, then there is a problem with the battery (provided that the SIM card is installed and all above tests were successful). Contact us if you are experiencing incorrect function.

6) If all the above 5 tests were successful and you still do not receive messages, then there could be something wrong with the operator, for example, they cannot deliver messages to you. Contact our support team and provide us with the result of test number 2 above. In order to better be able to help you, a video showing test №5 would also be appreciated.
Please see question №10. If you only receive power restore messages then the most probable reason is that the battery is not charged. If you continue to have problems, please provide the results of test №2 and №5 (from question №10) when you contact our support team. In order to better be able to help you, a video with test №5 would also be appreciated.
The most probable reason is a weak battery. Please check questions №10 and №10 which describe how to test it. It can be also due to your operator losing messages along the way (for example, due to it being stuck in a mobile pool of operators). Contact us and provide result of test 2 and 5 described in question №10.
If you have several numbers installed for power cut alerts and some numbers are wrong it may be that the unit is busy sending power failure alerts to wrong numbers (it makes 3 attempts) and if the battery is weak it may not send to some of the good numbers. Please charge the battery and remove any possible wrong numbers from the list. See test 5 in question №10 about battery test. Another reason could be that your operator cannot handle the delivery of a number of messages in succession, due to some limitations or restriction. iSocket sends power cut alerts to the mobile network and then it is up to the mobile operator to deliver them to you. Please test with another operator to see if you have problems with sending to several numbers.
Please note, iSocket can only be used indoors, however ways can be found to get around this. In most cases an outdoor appliance is powered from an indoor electric supply and in some cases you may even have an indoor outlet connected to the same network. If you only need to detect a power outage and do not need to switch your outdoor equipment remotely, then you could plug the iSocket to the indoor outlet. Since the electric network is the same and connected in parallel, when the power fails it will fail on this indoor outlet as well. iSocket will detect this and you will get a power failure notification. You may consult with a local electrician about how your system is wired and he could probably help you with the installation. If your outdoor equipment has a plug that can be routed from inside the premises then you may consider doing that and move the iSocket indoors.

Another option is to use special insulated boxes which allow indoor equipment to be used outside, but please note that temperature and humidity conditions must be kept in mind - to merely protect against rain/snow is not enough. See technical parameters of the devices in user manuals.

If your outdoor pump is wired directly to the indoor fuse cabinet through a breaker, we would recommend that you install an indoor outlet after the same breaker and plug the iSocket into this outlet. Thus when the breaker switches off, iSocket will detect it, because power in the parallel outlet will also switch off. You may even have an indoor outlet in your house – please ask your local electrician. Check question №14 for more information.
