You don't need it anymore! The new iSocket has no printed (or PDF) user manual as it is entirely web based, no complicated SMS commands or configuration anymore - everything is hassle-free and Plug-and-Go. The first connection is fully Plug-and-Go too. You can manage your new Plug-and-Go iSocket from a convenient web interface - your iSocket World IoT Portal account - either from a computer or your phone. We believe that we have created an intuitive interface where everything will be clear for our customers without additional boring instructions. The interface changes rapidly and the instructions would be useless. You will find numerous question marks in the interface in front of different elements - these are places where you will find additional up-to-date help - this we call an interactive user guide. Once we see that something is not understandable by customers we listen your feedback and make changes accordingly. Feedback is always welcome!

At the same time, the technical specification on each product is available in the iSocket World catalog - see 'Tech Spec' tabs on individual pages of products. An overview of the features is available either in this FAQ or on our website pages, include the iSocket Word catalog.

You don't need "traditional" (native) apps anymore. We use Progressive Web App (PWA) technology. This means you can manage iSocket from any device - either computer or phone. On the phone you can "install" it as a PWA - just add it to your home screen and you will see it works in a similar to traditional apps way on your phone. It takes zero space on your phone. Here is more information about what PWA means.

This setting sets the delay before considering a power interruption as a power outage event. You will not get a notification about power outage if it less that this delay. NOTE! With the value set to zero you will probably detect even small power flickers (brown outs). However, we can’t guarantee this, because it will depend on your environment but in most cases it will detect about 200ms interruptions. If you don’t want to detect such short interruptions we would recommend that you keep this setting to 1 or 2 seconds. This setting was only designed to help configure either flickers detection or regular outages - no more than that. So, realistic values you should use are either around zero (to detect flickers with possible multiple alarms) or 1 (for regular outages). In some scenario you may increase it up to 3 if the value 1 still gives you flickers detection. Increment of this setting is 0.1.

You should go to the Notifications section, choose the phone widget for the phone number you want to test, click the “change here” link, and you’ll see the testing function. Note that this is not a true test that the device is sending power outage alerts — it only tests the deliverability of any messages to that phone. To test that the device continues to send power outage alerts, you need to unplug it from the wall.
